Biography

My name is Paula Gutierrez. I was born in Bogota the 6th of December of 1996 and I am 17 years old. I live with my both parents and my older brother. My mom is called Maria Isabel Barros and she is bacteriology. My father is called Juan Carlos Gutierrez and he is a pilot, just like my brother Juan David.

I love hanging out with my friends and my hobby when I was younger was acting, I used to watched TV in order to ``copy`` the way my favorites actors used to act. When I was 12 years old I entered to Missy Academy, there I had acting classes. One day I recorded advertising, which has been one of the biggest goals I have achieved during my life. Other important aspect from my life was that when I was 3 years old I had a surgery from my hips. For fortune I am perfect now a day.

An important decision that I had to make was changing from my school. I was in eleven grade when I entered to my new school, this year. I am very happy with this change and also very thankful of having a new life.

When I was 15 years old I traveled to Europe with a group of friends. I loved this amazing trip because I visited many countries, but definitely my favorite one was Switzerland because there I visited the Monte Titlis, where I had the opportunity of having contact with the snow by the first time in my life. I will always remember this moment as one of my favorites during the travel. I also enjoy it so much because I met incredible girls and we are still been friends.

Future Plans

My immediately plan for the moment I leave school is going abroad for six months to study English. I will go to Brighton in the United Kingdom, there I will enter to an academy of English. I am very thankful with my parents for giving me this amazing opportunity. My idea at the academy is studying hard in order to prepare important exams as the Toefl exam. Also I consider that it would be a nice life experience because I would live alone, so I will have to learn how to everything by myself.

As soon as I arrive from Brighton my plan is enter to the university. I will like to study laws in la Javeriana. I decided this career because I see myself In a future as a very important lawyer who loves my job, also because my aunt is lawyer so she took me one day with her to work and o really like it, I think it is an interesting career and I would have the chance of helping incent people, or by the other hand, giving justice to the guilty ones. Other thing that catches my attention from this career is that I would have all the support from my aunt in case I need it, and that comforts me. When I finish my pregrade I want to make a postgraduate in international law at los Andes University, in order to be able to work abroad ¡n a future, for example I would love to work at la ONU.

Academic Life

When I was two years I studied in Preschooler Santa Paula children garden. I entered in nursery and I studied there until transition, then I went to big school. I enter to Gimnasio Colombo Britanico School at the age of five. I studied most part of my life there. I was there until ten grade. I had bad and good moments at that school but I am very thankful with each one of my teachers because everything I know and I am today is product of what they had teach me. Also, I met all my friends at that school, and they are very important for me and they know all of me, with them I spend 13 years of my life and it makes me happy knowing that I count with them for everything I need.

This year I had a new experience, and it was changing from my other school, that is how I end up studying here at San Angelo’s School. I am happy with this change because I had the opportunity of meeting new people, not only students but also teachers that has become important for me in my life. At this school I have also got the opportunity of growing up as a happy person who lives in peace with everyone, and also to believe more in God.

Acknowledgment to San Angelo School

Firstly, I want to thank miss Maria Isabel for letting me have the chance of being part of San Angelo school. I know one year don’t seem to be enough time for me to feel part of the school, but actually for me it does. This year has been full of new and good things for me; I have met important people like Alejo, Norelia, Guarin, Paola and my friends Camila and Juliana, who make me change my mind when it comes to the way I used to see life. I want to say thank you also to each of my teachers of this year, who have teach not only in the academic part, but also important things I must know in order to have a good future as a complete person. I have learned this year to appreciate what I have while I keep my mind busy working for what i want so that all of my dreams come true and make them achieves and goals in my life.

Farewell

It is not easy for me leaving school, because finally it was in school where i spend most of time, where i learned everything i know today and where i begun to have new experiences and made my life time friends. I will miss my student days also and my teachers and friends. A lot of things will change in our lives from now on, but this doesn´t mean that we will a part ourselves from each other, we will only add some new people to our days, but never forgetting those that has been part of our lives since kids, and the memories and good times will last forever in each our minds. I am proud of graduating from this school and of being part of this class 2014.

In appreciation for

I would like to start by giving the thanks to my parents for giving me all their support during my seventeen years. I wouldn´t have done it without their support . Also, i admire how each member of my family support me in every desicion i made, i think that is the reason why i tried to give my best up to the end.

I am very grateful with my other school, my friends and teachers, for their dedication, support and friendship,and obviously with my school San Angelo. I really enjoy this year in this school and i know this was a very nice and interesting opportunity i had in my life, wich has mean to many for me, a big step in my life.
